Letter to the editor: picture of Maine aspiring Olympian disrespectful of the flag

On Memorial Day weekend, the click Herald prominently featured an associated Press image of Rachel Schneider with the article headlined "Schneider poised for Olympic chance" (can also 30, web page C1), blatantly disrespecting the American flag. this is deeply offensive to me and to many other people as well, I'm sure.

I could be very chuffed for Ms. Schneider's accomplishments in music and container, and i wish her neatly in her bid to signify the U.S. within the Olympics, however that does not supply her the correct to wrap herself in our flag as a bit of her personal adornment.

shame on her for posing for that picture, and shame on the press Herald for printing it.
